-Product Highlights

The suspended high-intensity magnetic plate is a permanent magnetic device designed for belt conveyor systems. Installed above the conveyor belt, it continuously removes ferrous contaminants from conveyed materials, protecting crushers, grinders, and other downstream equipment. It improves product purity and is widely used in construction, mining, metallurgy, chemical, and wood processing industries.

-Working Principle

The separator is suspended above the material conveying path using lifting eyes. The internal permanent magnetic system generates a high-intensity, high-gradient magnetic field.

As materials containing ferrous contaminants pass beneath the separator, iron impurities are attracted and held on the bottom surface of the unit. The separated contaminants are then manually removed by scraping, allowing the separator to continue operating efficiently in continuous production processes.

Product Information

Structure Materials

The Suspended Magnetic Plate is designed with an internal magnetic system composed of high-performance ferrite magnets combined with NdFeB rare earth magnets, arranged in an optimized magnetic circuit to generate a strong and extended magnetic field.

The outer housing is manufactured from high-quality A3 carbon steel, with optional SUS304 or SUS316 stainless steel available for corrosive or sanitary environments.
Heavy-duty lifting eyes are made from thickened Q235 carbon steel and welded using a full fish-scale welding process, providing excellent mechanical strength and reliable load-bearing capacity for industrial applications.

Features

  • Designed for thick material layers and high conveying speeds
  • Significantly higher iron removal efficiency than standard ferrite magnetic separators
  • Permanent magnetic design requiring no external power supply or cooling system
  • No risk of power failure, overheating, or electrical malfunction
  • Suitable for outdoor operation and remote locations without power access
  • Extremely low maintenance cost

Installation Methods

1. Suspended Installation Above Conveyor Belt

This is the most common installation method. The separator is suspended above the conveyor belt using a crossbeam, adjustable bolts, and lifting eyes.
The suspension height is adjusted within the effective operating range (typically 100–300 mm), ensuring the separator remains parallel to the belt without contacting the conveyed material.

2. Suspended Installation Above Hopper or Chute

For systems without conveyor belts, the separator can be mounted above hopper outlets or chutes using a support frame. As materials fall through the magnetic field zone, ferrous contaminants are captured effectively.

3. Frame-Mounted Installation

For heavy-duty separators or sites without existing support beams, a steel support frame can be installed. The separator is fixed to the frame and adjusted to the optimal height. This method provides high stability and is suitable for high-speed, high-capacity conveying systems.

Applications

Suspended Magnetic Separators are widely used in mining and aggregate processing, construction waste recycling, grain and feed handling, chemical and plastics industries, waste treatment, and recycling operations, providing reliable iron removal for conveyor-based production lines.
